"There's nothing more interesting than the landscape of the human face." - Irvin Kershner
Your face is your story.
It’s also how you feel about that story.
It’s a living reflection of your mind, your emotions, your ancestry, and your evolving experience. The features you carry are a composite of inheritance, beliefs, desires, and challenges—each one shaped over time by the way you’ve moved through life.
Face reading is the art and science of profound observation—a way of seeing the ever-changing landscape of the face with curiosity, care, and compassion. It offers insight into your patterns, gifts, and inner world—not to judge, but to understand.
"Waiaka Kaʻuhane truly helps empower you to pay attention to your own health and wellness. The first step to healing is to have a great guide that puts the power in your own hands and helps you through the steps. Through just one of her many practices of healing arts (face reading), she was able to accurately help me in identifying my strengths and other parts of my past, present and future that I should pay extra attention on. Do you want to know how accurate she was? Well it was more on-the-dot than any personality test I've ever done, and I never felt judged." - Aimee
Face reading sessions are one hour—typically 45 minutes for the reading, followed by 15 minutes for questions and integration.
This rhythm allows space to absorb what comes through without overwhelm. We focus on one aspect of your life at a time, so your insights can land clearly and meaningfully.
Think of your face like a book.
You wouldn’t want to read the whole thing in one sitting—that would be exhausting! But a single chapter? That’s where the story starts to unfold in a way you can really enjoy and digest.
In a session, we’ll focus on the “chapters” most relevant to you—such as:
• Purpose
• Career
• Relationships
• Health
• Self-worth
• Life transitions
• Questioning your path—where you’ve been and where you’re headed
• Considering a career change or realignment
• Seeking deeper connection in your relationships
• Navigating physical health challenges
• Wondering if you have unrecognized gifts or talents
• Craving clarity around how to share your known abilities
• Feeling stuck and needing inspiration or encouragement
• Experiencing disconnection or low self-worth
• Simply curious about what your face reveals about you
"Waiaka’s face reading session was truly empowering. As she explained the significance of each crease, dimple, shape, and bump on my face, I was amazed by the depth of her insights. The experience not only boosted my confidence but also enhanced my decision-making and delegation skills in my business."
- Haunani, entrepreneur
Once you book your reading, you’ll receive an email with everything you need to prepare.
You’ll be invited to reflect on which aspect of your life you’d like to explore—such as purpose, relationships, or health—and you’ll be asked to send a few photos of your face (details included in the email). This allows me to catch subtle features that may not come through clearly on Zoom.
Sessions are conducted over Zoom and include an audio recording so you can revisit your reading anytime. You’re welcome to ask questions throughout, though I recommend saving them for the final 15 minutes so you can fully absorb the experience. Having a pen and paper nearby is helpful for jotting down reflections and insights.
Couple and team readings are also available—please email me directly to inquire about pricing and logistics.
‘Waiaka also did a face reading that uncovered things I didn’t fully realize about myself, my personality, and my health. It gave me…a better understanding of myself that I wish I had years ago…I highly recommend her.”

Diverse face reading traditions have been practiced across the globe, for at least the last 3,000 years to guide people in a variety of life decisions, such as picking a mate, choosing an apprentice, or even making a business deal. Modern applications are equally multifaceted and tend to focus on self-discovery, self acceptance, understanding relationships, and health.
Face reading can help you to understand yourself and the people around you better, and although we all tend to pay attention to faces and how we feel about them, face reading is different in that all judgment is suspended.
Face reading as a practice is different in that it is a discipline in seeing with eyes of compassion. There are no bad wrinkles, there are no superpowers that come without their kryptonite, and there are no challenges that come without blessings. We are climbing the mountain together, and in the eyes of a face reader, everyone is exactly where they are meant to be on their journey.
“When you look at the moon, do you focus on the craters? Or the light?”
-Yeshuah Kauhane
We all look to each other's faces for information and for connection. Breastfeeding babies are the perfect distance from their mother’s face to be able to gaze into one another’s eyes. When we first meet someone, our own personal filters prioritize what information we are gathering. Are they kind? Trustworthy? Attractive?
Looking into one another’s faces is an intrinsically human action, illustrating the inherent importance delegated to our faces.
However, face reading is very different from the normal way we look at faces. In my practice, face reading requires always looking for the light.
When we gaze at the full moon, do we judge her for her craters? “Oh look, how unfortunate the moon is not perfectly smooth,” said no one ever. Of course not, we bask in her light and appreciate her mystery.
So it is with face reading.
Your light animates you, and reveals where your shadows are. When I give a reading, I point out where you shine, and where your potential is still incubating. We all have superpowers and likewise, we all have our kryptonite. Face reading is a tool that helps you see yourself clearly. It is an empowering and validating experience.
“I’ve been inspired to consider writing. I plan to start this weekend and see where it takes me. I hope you have an amazing day feeling as loved as you make the rest of us feel.” -Chi
